Lisbon, Portugal

Tour 1:  Cruise Critic Tour being organized by a member -click here for link

This is the tour with Portugal Premium tours, which is highly rated on Tripadvisor and has excellent reviews. Our local guide will pick you up at the harbor of Lisbon and we begin our private tour towards Sintra. Our Sintra tour begins in the centre of the Village, which has enchanted kings and inspired poets, such as Lord Byron.

While taking a brief tour through the historic centre, you’ll find yourself surrounded by old houses that have been converted into small shops and bakeries, selling local products and handicrafts. In this village we will have the opportunity to visit a known pastry where we’ll taste local pastries: ‘Queijadas de Sintraoo’ (Sintra’s cheesecake) and ‘Travesseiros’.

Continuing with our day tour through the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park you’ll enjoy the pure atmosphere of Guincho beach (place of beach fight scene in James Bond’s ‘On her majesty’s Secret Service’), ‘Cabo da Roca’ (Europe’s westernmost point), and ‘Boca do Inferno’ a tourism highlight, with a divine landscape, especially when the sea is rough, and where you can enjoy magnificent sunsets. Along the amazing ‘Marginal’ road, always close to the Atlantic Ocean, through Cascais and Estoril (famous for its Casino and Casino gardens) we will take you to Lisbon. Where you’ll have the opportunity to visit Belém (launching point for the Portuguese discoveries, dotted with beautiful historic monuments and open riverside parks).

We will also visit the Belém Tower, the Jerónimos Monastery and the Discoveries Monument. Still at Belém we’ll taste the World-famous and unique ‘Pastéis de Belém’ (custard tarts, fresh from the oven) at the pastry that they are produced since 1837. Then, depending on the available time, we’ll have the opportunity to visit the highlights of the centre of Lisbon: Baixa/Chiado, Avenida da Liberdade, Marquês de Pombal and the Eduardo VII Park. We will end our tailor-made and private tour in the Lisbon’s harbor.

This tour would be for 24 people(which is more comfortable than a small van). It would include a driver and a guide. There is a early booking discount of 10% which makes this tour a great price. The price is $21.57 euros and at today's currency exchange that would be $29.42 in American dollars. You would be required to pay in full before the cruise thru paypal(which has a small charge).
